Meet Adam Fuhr - High School Head Coach

Adam Fuhr is the head coach of the Georgetown Area High School Lacrosse program, bringing more than a decade of local coaching experience and a strong background in player development. 

Since moving to Georgetown in 2014, he has played an important role in growing the youth program, developing hundreds of athletes and expanding the game internationally through his work with developing lacrosse nations and the Ukrainian national program. 

His coaching philosophy focuses on building complete athletes through skill, discipline, accountability, leadership and a strong team-first culture.

Our Coaching Philosophy

Strong Fundamentals

Great players are built from the basics up. We teach proper technique, reinforce good habits and make sure athletes understand the “why” behind every skill before moving on to shortcuts.

Confidence

Players improve when they are willing to try, make mistakes and try again. Our coaches create an environment where athletes can build confidence through preparation, effort and steady progress.

Lacrosse IQ

Athletes learn to read the field, make smart decisions and understand how their role contributes to the team. We develop players who can think, adapt and respond under pressure.

Teamwork

Lacrosse is not an individual sport wearing a team uniform. Players learn to communicate, trust one another and understand that team success depends on everyone doing their part.

Accountability

Players are expected to arrive prepared, work hard and take responsibility for their choices. We hold athletes to a high standard while giving them the support and guidance they need to meet it.

Leadership & Sportsmanship

Leadership is demonstrated through effort, attitude, respect and the example athletes set for their teammates and peers. We teach players to compete with integrity and show respect for their teammates, coaches, opponents and officials.
